California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility

The first step to overcoming addiction is committing to the detox process. While this process often comes with unpleasant side effects, it is imperative to rid the body of toxic substances that come along with addiction before committing to other forms of treatment.

The detoxification process is an integral part of any recovery process and should always be done under the supervision of a medical professional. Fortunately, Jewel City Treatment Center provides resources so you can detox in your home under the guidance of a medical professional.

Outpatient Medical Detox at Jewel City Treatment Center

The choice to stop substance abuse is an essential step toward a better life, but it can also come with dangerous withdrawal symptoms. Substance use disorder is a mental illness that involves both an emotional and physical dependence on drugs or alcohol. As a result, stopping drug abuse immediately without support can be harmful – and even deadly in some situations. The goal of an outpatient medical detox program is to remove the danger and discomfort from the detox process, while also helping you break free from your alcohol and drug addiction before participating in a residential program or outpatient program. With the support of staff at addiction treatment centers, your body will be cleared of harmful substances while you receive physical and  emotional support from our team of medical professionals.

The Benefits of Outpatient Detox Care

Many individuals find the hospital setting stressful and overwhelming, adding to the discomfort of the detox process. Our outpatient detox services are unique because they allow for faster and more effective healing as you conduct the process in the comfort of your own home. Our goal at Jewel City Treatment Center is to allow you to be as comfortable as possible and allow for maximum healing. That’s why we bring our healthcare professionals to you, for an authentic detox experience that prioritizes your needs. NOTE: Detoxing without the support of a medical professional is incredibly dangerous. Regardless of your addiction, please seek medical support and do not attempt to detox on your own.

After Detox: Inpatient vs Outpatient Treatment Programs

Remember, detox is only the first step on your recovery journey! After your substance detox program, we offer a variety of individualized treatment plans, including behavioral therapy and relapse prevention to help you move forward after your detox. Our intensive outpatient program offers the freedom to participate in your day-to-day life while still participating in addiction treatment services.

Our facility offers a variety of treatment programs that cater to your specific needs. After your detox program, our addiction specialists will work with you to help you determine what level of care is the best fit for accomplishing your recovery goals.

All of our programs allow you to focus on intensive recovery work during the day, and return at night to sleep. Our partial hospitalization programs provide the most intensive level of care, and are often recommended for those immediately after completing detox. However, some individuals benefit from intensive outpatient treatment after detox for increased flexibility.

No matter which option you choose, your individualized care will involve mental health services to help you get to the root cause of your addiction, along with community support so you can learn from other individuals who have experienced similar challenges. The goal of counseling and support groups is to help you address the underlying causes of your substance abuse and develop healthy coping mechanisms outside of addiction for your future.
